lyrics

Here we'd stay all summer long
Waist high grass and yellow corn
Final rest in shade of trees
The final touch of a summer breeze

Together under watching skies
Our paths in two directions lies
Autumn comes then winter frost
We trust our feelings at a cost

Now here we rest on a summer's day
And those times still seem far away
For now I drink your magic in
And make the best for the time being

I think of you and when I do
I hate to be apart from you
When you learn the world is cruel
Maybe we could make things new?

Snow will freeze and sun will burn
Lessons we all have to learn
You'll find me in the tall tree's shade
Won't stop you if you turn away

Time to go so ends the wait
Say you take my fears away
Words naive and so are we
The last time we may ever be

I heard you say on a summer's day
We'll be free and here we'll lay
Seasons pass intentions change
But mine will always stay the same

Mine will always stay the same.
